it's been awhile. it's a good thing cuz it means i'm busy doing more productive stuff. it's been quite a hectic week. interview with sf dept. on tues. went down to la on wed. interview with la dept. on thurs. came back up last night. had to get up early for a 9am diagnostics test at a firefighting training facility. met and did some interesting things along the way. i can now say that i had mcdonalds workers sing for me. they were very nice and enthusiastic about it. i also met an interesting person on my flight to la. i've come to look forward to these one-hour-friendship-encounters. this girl, laura, played starting point guard for new mexico for 4 yrs and after graduating last june, played a season of pro ball in italy. she knows courtney johnson on our team. but that's not very interesting cuz i don't really know courtney johnson, and i don't care much for cal's women's team. anyways, turns out laura is from orinda and is gonna attend usc for business school next fall and was on this flight makin a final visit to la. interesting girl. we talked as if we'd been friends for the longest time. i love meeting people like this. it's different from meeting random koreans with mutual friends. makes the world seem a lil smaller and friendly. i love things like this cuz they make life so interesting. reminds me that life doesn't always have to be so mundane.
